Team activities in London for small groups

Self-serve booking is built for 3 to 20 people, so a group of five is a normal booking rather than a favour. These are live London options with the venue’s own price, neighbourhood and group range, plus the two things that decide a small booking: the venue’s minimum group number and any minimum spend.

Group size

3–8 and 9–20 aretwo different bookings

Nine people is not a bigger version of six. The room, the number of hosts and the money the venue needs to make the booking worthwhile all change as the group grows, so the two bands are worth planning separately. Self-serve covers both. Above 20 people the concierge team takes over.

3–8 people

One table, one host

At this size a single room and a single host usually covers the whole group, which is why the formats that work are the hands-on ones: a class, a tasting, a workshop. The risk is not the activity. It is the venue’s floor.

  • The listing’s group range is the venue’s own minimum and maximum, not a suggestion.
  • A small group can fall below a minimum spend even when the headcount is accepted.
  • Per-head prices look higher at this size for anything with a fixed room cost, which is normal.

9–20 people

Two tables, or one big room

Past about nine people, venues start splitting the group across tables, adding a second host or moving you into a private space. That is a different booking from the one the small-group card describes, and it is worth saying your headcount out loud in the request.

  • Ask whether the group sits together or rotates through stations, and how long the changeover takes.
  • Check whether the price per person steps down or up as you cross the venue’s own tiers.
  • Allow longer for people to arrive when the group is larger, and set a clear start time.

Live options

Small-group optionsin the catalogue

Every card is a live listing: the venue or activity, the neighbourhood the partner has set, the group range the venue accepts, and the venue’s fixed price. “pp” means per person and “total” means the price covers the group. Nothing on this page is an estimate, and Cultura Club adds nothing to the price you see.

Filtered to listings that take groups of up to 15 people, which is the catalogue’s own “Up to 15” band.

What you are looking at

What a card tells you,and what it cannot

The plan for a small team is the same whatever you pick: know your headcount, know your ceiling per head, and get the venue to confirm the parts the listing leaves open. Here is where each fact lives.

On every card

  • The venue or activity, and the neighbourhood the partner has set.
  • The group range the venue accepts, shown as “12–40 people” or “up to 40 people”.
  • The venue’s fixed price, marked per person or as a total for the group.

On the listing page

  • How long the session runs and what the price includes.
  • Accessibility and dietary options, including an alcohol-free option where the partner has set one.
  • The cancellation terms that apply to that venue.

Confirmed by the venue

  • That your date and time slot are free.
  • Any minimum spend or minimum group number.
  • The final price at your headcount, and anything the listing leaves open.

Group fit

Minimum groups andminimum spend

This is the honest constraint on a small team booking, and it is not really about the activity. A venue that will happily host twenty people may not take six, because the room and the host cost the same either way. The listing tells you the group range. The minimum spend is confirmed when the venue answers.

  • The group range is a real boundary

A listing’s minimum and maximum come from the venue. A request outside that range is declined, and the request is where you find out rather than after you have told the team.

  • A minimum spend is not on the card

Some venues need a minimum spend per booking instead of a minimum headcount. There is no field for it on the listing, so the venue confirms it in its answer. If it rules your group out, you have lost nothing but the wait.

  • Nothing is charged while you find out

If the venue declines, or the request expires after 24 hours, the hold is released and nothing is charged.

What happens after you send a request

  1. 01Pick your date, time slot and pricing tier.
  2. 02Send a booking request. Your card is authorised but not charged.
  3. 03The venue responds within 24 hours, or instantly if it is connected to our Bookable integration.
  4. 04Your card is captured only when the venue accepts.

What to check3–8 people9–20 people
The roomOne table and one host usually covers the group. Check that the space is not shared with another booking.Expect two tables, a second host or a private room. Ask how the group is split and whether it stays together.
How the price is setPer person, or a fixed price for the group. The card says which, and the venue set it.Per person is usual at this size. Check whether the venue’s price changes at your headcount.
Minimum numbers and minimum spendThe real risk. The card shows the group range; the venue confirms any minimum spend in its answer.Still worth asking, especially for a private room or a seated format.
TimingA short session fits around a working day, including travel at both ends.Allow longer for arrivals and a clear start time, so the group is not waiting on the last two people.
Getting thereCheck the walk from the station. Two or three people can absorb a detour.Check that the venue can take the whole group at once, and whether there is one entrance, one cloakroom and one bar.
AlcoholAsk whether it is central to the format, whether it can be left out, and what replaces it.Same question, and ask whether the alcohol-free option is priced the same as the rest.

Prices on the cards come from the venues themselves and do not change after you submit a request. Cultura Club charges the partner a 10% platform fee, which is not added to your price.

FAQ

Booking for asmall group

What is the smallest group I can book?
Three people. Self-serve booking is built for 3–20 people, so anything from three upwards can be requested online. Above 20 people the concierge team plans it with you instead.
Do London venues set a minimum spend for small groups?
Some do, and it is the constraint that decides whether a small booking works at all. The listing shows the group range the venue accepts and its fixed price. A minimum spend is not a field the venue sets on the listing, so it comes back in the venue’s answer to your request. If it rules your group out, the request is declined and the hold on your card is released.
What happens if I request a group size the venue does not take?
The group range on the card is the venue’s own minimum and maximum, so a request outside it is declined. Filter by team size before you choose, and check the group range on each card against your headcount. Nothing is charged when a request is declined.
How long does the venue take to answer?
The venue responds within 24 hours, or instantly if it is connected to our Bookable integration. The order is fixed either way: pick your date, time slot and pricing tier, send the request, and wait for the venue before you commit anything else.
When is my card actually charged?
Your card is authorised when you submit a request and captured only when the venue accepts. If the venue declines, or the request expires after 24 hours, the hold is released and nothing is charged.
Can we cancel a small booking?
Yes, on the standard terms: full refund of the venue’s share seven or more days before the event, 50% of the venue’s share from three to seven days before, and nothing refundable inside three days. Cultura Club’s 10% platform fee is not refundable once a venue has accepted, unless the venue or Cultura Club cancels.
Is alcohol part of these activities?
It depends on the format, and the catalogue does not record how central alcohol is. Ask the venue: whether it is part of the booking, whether it can be left out, and what the alcohol-free option is. Partners can mark an alcohol-free option on their listing, and the catalogue can be filtered on it.
We are 24 people. Can we still book online?
Not through self-serve, which stops at 20 people. Send the brief to the concierge team with your headcount, date, area and budget per head, and they come back with options. Larger groups run into capacity and minimum-spend questions that a small-group listing cannot answer.
