1. Who we are

Cultura Club is a marketplace for team experiences in London. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the site, send us an enquiry or book an experience.

For UK data protection law, the controller is Cultura Club Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17123340 and its registered office at 46 Princess May Road, London, England, N16 8DG. Our registration with the Information Commissioner’s Office is ZC228684.

For any question about this policy or your personal information, email hello@cultura-club.com.

2. What we collect

We collect the information you give us, the information created when you use the marketplace, and some technical information from your device.

  • Enquiry form: your name, work email address, company, team size and message.
  • Account data: the name and email address on your account, and the details you use to sign in.
  • Booking data: the experiences you request or book, dates, group size, and messages about the booking.
  • Payment data: payments are handled by Stripe. Cultura Club does not store your full card number.
  • Correspondence: emails, support requests and complaints, and our replies.
  • Server logs: your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you visit and when you visit them.

We do not ask for special category information, such as information about your health, religion or ethnicity. Please do not send it to us unless we ask for it.

3. Why we can use your information

Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your personal information. We rely on the following.

  • Contract: to take and manage your booking, pass it to the partner, process payment and provide the marketplace.
  • Legitimate interests: to run, secure and improve the marketplace, prevent fraud and misuse, and answer your enquiries.
  • Consent: to send you marketing emails. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation: to keep accounting and tax records, and to respond to lawful requests from authorities.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether those interests are overridden by your rights. You can object to that processing: see section 7.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where we need to, to run the marketplace and provide your booking.

  • The partner fulfilling your booking. They receive what they need to deliver the experience and contact you about it, such as your name, work email address and booking details.
  • Stripe, which processes card payments and pays partners.
  • Our email provider, which sends booking, account and enquiry emails.
  • Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its data.
  • Google, which provides Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Professional advisers, insurers and authorities, where we are required to share information or need advice.
  • A buyer or successor, if the business is ever sold or restructured.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers may store or process information outside the UK. When that happens, we make sure a lawful safeguard is in place.

The safeguards we use are the UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or the standard contractual clauses, depending on the provider. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguard used by emailing hello@cultura-club.com.

6. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: for as long as we need to answer you and follow up on your plans.
  • Account data: while your account is open.
  • Booking records: for as long as tax and accounting rules require us to keep them.
  • Server logs: for a limited period, for security and troubleshooting.
  • Marketing consent: until you withdraw your consent, plus a record that you did.

When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • ask us to delete information where there is no good reason for us to keep it;
  • ask us to restrict what we do with your information;
  • receive information you gave us in a portable format, or ask us to send it to someone else;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to object to direct marketing at any time;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@cultura-club.com. We will reply within one month, and there is no charge.

We may ask you to prove your identity before we act, so that we do not give your information to someone else.

8. How to complain

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first at hello@cultura-club.com so that we can put it right.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk.

9. Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and local storage to run the site: for example, to keep you signed in, to remember your basket, and to remember your language. These are needed for the site to work.

We use Google Analytics to see which pages are useful, but only if you accept it in the cookie banner. It is not set until you consent, you can refuse and still use the site, and you can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings in the footer. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.

See our Cookie policy for the detail.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the business or the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.

If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to tell account holders before it takes effect.
